Clarendon Day | September 30

Clarendon Day is one of Arlington’s best-loved and most diverse street festivals, with several music stages, a large kids' area, arts and crafts vendors, business and nonprofit exhibitors from Clarendon and the region, plenty of great food from local and regional restaurants, craft beers and Virginia wines, and more. This year Clarendon Day returns on September 30 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Don't miss this signature Arlington event!

Paws on the Pike | September 30

The Columbia Pike Partnership is bringing paws back to the Pike with its annual pet fair. Join in for a day of pet-friendly fun and meet your local veterinarians, trainers, pet-sitters, boarders, dog walkers, groomers, and more!

Outdoor Concerts

Jam out and enjoy the cooling weather at these outdoor concerts!

Enjoy live Jazz music at Metropolitan Park! National Landing's Jazz @ Met series continues this month with three more performances happening every Thursday in September. Take your pick from the line-up and join in for a fun night of great music!

Enjoy free, live music at The Netherlands Carillon every Thursday night in September. Bring a blanket, lawn chair, or picnic and enjoy concerts of jazz, pop, and patriotic music on the carillon's 53 bells. Musical selection varies weekly. Park rangers will also provide music-themed kids activities from 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Catch a Show at Signature Theatre

Signature Theatre is a Tony Award®-winning, non-profit professional theater company located in Arlington's Shirlington neighborhood. Called a “musical theater powerhouse” by The Washington Post, Signature combines Broadway-caliber productions with intimate playing spaces and aims to be a leading force in U.S. musical theater.

This month, Signature Theatre is presenting the Bridges of Madison County, a sweeping musical romance of desire and sacrifice based on the best-selling novel, through September 17.

Hit Up an Outdoor Market

Enjoy the summer to fall transition weather and shop incredible handmade goods, fresh produce and more at any of these Arlington outdoor markets.

Join EatLoco every Saturday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. through November 18 at the Metropolitan Park Farmer's Market for an exciting lineup of vendors and entertainment in National Landing.

The FreshFarm Ballston Market is located in shady, tree-filled Welburn Square and offers conventional and certified organic fruits and vegetables, grass-fed meats and pastured eggs, organic milk, yogurt, ice cream, sweet and savory baked goods, Virginia-made wines, cold-pressed juices, handmade soaps and lotions, wood-fired pizza, hot-pressed sandwiches, and more. Stop by every Thursday from 3-7 p.m.

Shop local and fresh every week from May through October in downtown Rosslyn! The market is open every Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at Central Place Plaza, brought to you in partnership with FreshFarm, a non-profit that promotes sustainable agriculture and improves food access and equity in the mid-Atlantic region.

Make your way to Beauty Champagne and Sugar Boutique on September 23 for an Artisan and Food Pop Up featuring local authors, including Andrew Gifford (We All Scream), Two Doxies Jewelry, Blue Basset Barkery, Ash What's Popping Champagne Popcorn, Food & Wine Tastings and more!
