“When my husband, Shoji Mochizuki, immigrated from Japan, he wanted to ‘give back’ some of what America gave to him. We opened Sushi-Zen to create jobs, serve delicious food, and create a family friendly dining experience,” said Co-Owner Rosie Gordon Mochizuki.

The Japanese character for Zen in Sushi-Zen also means ‘dining table’—a time for family and friends to share a meal and dialogue. With a focus on natural, fresh food and a relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant has been a favorite for Arlington families since 1997.
